Hell no, the cinema aspect TV kings are back with a new super-wide screen provides – Philips Gold Cinema 21:9 – that should a budget-friendly option on the market than ever before. Well if budget friendly as a TV with an aspect ratio that is only suitable for Hollywood blockbusters can be.
The 50-inch monster (of the usual 58-inch) also brings in passive 3D technology, 3D or Easy as Philips calls it (unfortunately active 3D is not labeled “Difficult 3D”), to join the more consumer-oriented ambitions. Like its predecessors, which is still frequently called “oooh” and “aahs” from the first time viewers, the Gold labels are strengths in the field of movie. It is designed with a big screen ambitions, and is not shy to declare his love for all things cinema – but it also has onboard technology to the daily TV viewing possible, and prevent the set from becoming a movie based on white elephant.
For normal 16:9 viewings it has a size option so you can see small screen action without visible distortion. Plus, for the first time, Philips is also offering 2D to 3D conversion, so you not only to seduce your TV to 16:9 to 21:9 display like on LG 37LE5300 HDTV, you can also a dimension. New HDTV Models May Firm Up Prices Of LCD TV Panel
Large LCD TV panels remain cheaper than the month in February 2011, according to market researcher iSuppli due to sluggish consumer demand and an increase in surplus stocks. However, the rate of decline seems to slow, and prices are expected in April stablise as TV manufacturers scale their purchases of LCD panels mounted on their new series of HDTV models such as Samsung UN46C7000 LED HDTVfor the coming year.
California-based iSuppli specializes in monitoring the status of the value chain within the consumer electronics industry. In its latest analysis released this week, the company predicts that the big-screen LCD TV panels would dip 1.2% in February, perpetuating a trend that is negative since April 2010. That said, there is a slowdown in the decline in prices since October 2010 and the current round of decline in February is already the lowest since June of last year.
Prices of LCD TV panels a temporary boost from the launch of new HDTV models in March / April and the May Labour Day in China. iSuppli keep a close eye on two signals that an indication of where large LCD prices head in the next few months should give one of the overall sales figures according to the Chinese New Year holiday, the other is the public’s reception the direction of the forthcoming launches of 2011 HDTV in the U.S. and European regions. The market research firm believes that the overall LCD panel prices will go through a period of stabilization sale must come trumps on both counts, as stocks are picked up by television makers to demand.
Ironically, this time last year the prices of large LCD panels were actually on the increase, mainly due to a component and labor shortages which meant that fewer units were produced. Together with healthy consumer demand, LCD prices went up, that’s very different from the scenario of this year.
