Samsung UN55C6500 Review
Samsung sent me a 55 inch version in my lab and this review will also apply to the 65″ (UN65C6500), 4o” (UN40C6500) and 32″ (UN32C6500) inches of this product, since the hardware specs are the same. The picture quality is the same and the only difference is the screen size. This TV is among the least expensive line to feature the apps platform.
But the sexiest part of this panel is the thin profile that looks quite a feast for the eyes. Slew of TV shows gives a vanishing effect. It’s something I have not seen on other TVs so far. The panel is only 1.2 inches deep, which looks really cool. This TV can be hung on the wall, but it’s better if you keep the included stand, because the viewers will appreciate the slim profile.
The Samsung has a slim glass UN55C6500 beyond the ring and makes the TV look even sexier. I would reiterate that this is the most compact and slimmest TVs I have ever had in my labs. The stand that is fairly unusual, you have four legs protruding from the bottom and up the screen. Some of my friends thought it a bit clumsy, but I really enjoyed it. It is one out of the box design. Some people are just like the rectangular or circular base under the TV.

Above the HDMI ports, you have two USB ports. A USB port will be used for the wireless dongle. The other connection can be used to connect a camera to take photos and videos on the big screen.

Sony KDL-55HX800 LED HDTV Review
When Sony’s Bravia KDL-55HX800 arrived in PC Labs, we could not wait to take a crowbar. (It came packaged in a solid wooden crate.) Once extracted, however, we treated with kid gloves. After all, this is the first 3D HDTV we test, and a fairly expensive one at that. While the HX800 Series is the least expensive of Sony’s family of 3D HDTV (the LX900 and HX909 are the other two), you would not know by this sharp 55-inch HDTV’s price tag. And by the time you add in 3D glasses for the family and a 3-channel, you’re in for about $ 4,000. And that does not include a 3D-capable Blu-ray player or discs. As with most brand-new technologies, you pay a premium on the ground floor. But the good news is that besides 3D, get the latest TV technologies including LED backlighting and a fast 240Hz refresh rate, which translates to a 2D photo is beautiful. That makes one of the 10 best HDTVs we’ve tested.
With its clean lines and thin glossy black bezel, the HX800 is a good looking HDTV. The 50-pound panel is supported by a shiny black swivel stand that square on three sides, with a rounded back. With a screen this size I usually see a little wobble, and the HX800 is no exception. Still, it is much more stable than the Samsung LN55C650.

The HX800 comes with an attractive 8.6-inch matte black handset is equipped with a hollow face with 43 buttons and a 4-way rocker. The buttons are not illuminated, but they are clearly labeled and well distributed. The favorites, Menu, Options, and Display buttons are well positioned (around the rocker), making it easy to navigate any menu item without a glance at the remote. There is also a special 3D button to switch between 2D and 3D modes, a Qriocity (Sony video-on-demand service) button and a Scene button that allows you to choose one of six video presets (Cinema , Sports, Photo, Game, graphics, and general) in addition to the three major video modes (Standard, Vivid, and Custom) are available from the main menu. There is also a music preset for optimum music playback, and an Auto mode that video and audio output according to the source optimizes the signal. Car worked well enough for TV broadcast, but I found that the cinema before the best all-around photograph, especially when watching Blu-ray content delivered. Overall, the 3D effect is well implemented and fun to watch, but it’s not perfect. For starters, the picture is not as clear as in 2D, due to the dark lenses. Although the cartoons are fun to watch, the sports scene showed the true appeal of 3D television. Watching the pros tee off and take pictures of the bunker had me feeling like I was sitting in the stands, and the view from behind the net during a FIFA World Cup game was also impressive. Yet fast action 3D hard on the eyes, it is difficult to follow, say, the flight of a ball with everything else going on in the background. Many of us felt in the lab varying degrees of tired eyes on full view. And we all agree that everything we saw on the HX800 looked better in 2D.
The HX800 turned in a respectable contrast ratio of 2,814:1, as measured by our CS-200 Chroma Meter darkroom after a basic calibration. That number is slightly higher than what we saw of the Bravia KDL-52NX800, although this model comes slightly deeper blacks (0.09 cd/m2) than the HX800 (0.12 cd/m2). Samples from grayscale LCD display level diagnostic software showed no signs of paint or saturation, and the colors were very accurate.
When it comes to 2D, the HX800 does an excellent job of displaying HD content, and SD performance is not bad. The set had no trouble passing the HD HQV edges, film resolution and HD-sound tests, and scenes from Repo Men and The Green Zone on Blu-ray discs were clean and very detailed. The quality of the X-Men Origins: Wolverine in HD via satellite labs box was also very good. Whatever the source, local dimming backlighting produced some minor blooming in some of the darker scenes, but it was minimal and not too distracting. Standard-definition TV broadcasts and DVD playback looked pretty good, except for the occasional jaggie. The HX800 struggled a bit with the standard-definition HQV test flag, indicating a minor weakness deinterlacing. Passing every other test easily.

Based on the 2009 national average cost of 11.55 cents per kWh and assuming five hours per day using the HX800 will add about 10 cents a day (or $ 3 per month) to your energy bill.
The biggest question you must ask yourself: Should you buy now a 3D TV? As with any new tech product type, 3D-TV has its flaws, some of which can be solved if the technology develops. That said, Sony Bravia KDL-55HX800 a good job of displaying the limited catalog of 3D content available today. More importantly, the 2D image quality is quite good, and it comes with a full complement of Web apps to keep you busy while you wait for more 3D content available. You get better overall performance of o Samsung’s 55-inch-LN55C650 for less money. But if you need 3D now, the HX800 is a good bet, just know that all the necessary accessories will greatly Jack the already expensive price.

Samsung LN55C650 HDTV Review
Although not a 3D-ready set, this 55-inch CCFL-backlit model is one of the best-performing LCD HDTVs we’ve seen in quite some time, offering deep blacks, high contrast ratio and stunning high def and standard-def picture quality is one of the 10 best HDTVs we’ve tested.
Design and controls
The LN55C650 sports an updated version of the familiar touch Samsung’s Color design, glossy black bezel is tinged with red accents, but the reddish effect is more subtle than the TOC finish used on LED-based last year UN40B7000. The cabinet measures 3.4 inches thick and sits on a rectangular base with an adjustable mounting arm that is a bit too thin to support the 62-pound 55-inch screen so there is a little wiggle. Another small gripe-labeling used to five touch-sensitive controls located on the right side of the lower ring is too small to identify and dark, making it almost unreadable, unless you happen to keep a flashlight handy. You’re better off using the supplied 8.25-inch remote control for all your modifications, as it has 43 good-size backlit buttons and a rocker, all clearly marked and responsive.
Connectivity
You get a good selection of connectivity ports with this model. Two USB ports, a set of composite A / V jacks and an HDMI port mounted on the right side of the cabinet, and there are three additional HDMI ports around back. Also at the rear PC audio and video (VGA) inputs, two sets of component A / V ports, optical and analog audio outputs, a coaxial TV signal connector, and an Ethernet port (to the set connect to a network, there is no integrated Wi-Fi). All of the rear jacks are recessed and provide a little leeway for connecting cables when the device is attached to the wall.
Sound and Vision Controls
Image adjustment options are plentiful. Four picture modes are Standard, Dynamic, Natural, and Movie, the latter is the best choice for movies and TV broadcast. Image settings are brightness, contrast, backlighting, Sharpness, and Tint, plus you get a wide range of advanced features. Five Digital Noise Filter modes are available, but I was not able to make a difference between the three highest settings (Medium, High, Auto) message. In fact, I found that TV broadcasts and Blu-ray images looked best with this feature disabled. Also, the Auto Motion Plus (120Hz) is best left disabled unless you prefer that your movies look like they were filmed with an HD camcorder. Other advanced settings include HDMI black level, shadow detail (to increase brightness of dark objects), Gamma, White Balance and Edge Enhancement.

Lifestyle Web apps include Twitter, Facebook, Pandora Radio, Picasa Web Albums, and Getty Images. Information channels, such Rovi TV program, a news ticker AP, USA Today, Accuweather, Google Maps, and Samsung Support TV round out the selection.
Performance
When it comes to image quality and overall performance, LN55C650 shines. After performing our fundamental darkroom calibration using patterns from the DisplayMate HDTV setup script, the panel returned an excellent 11,915:1 contrast ratio, one of the highest we’ve seen on a HDTV. The reading of 0.03 cd/m2 black level is more in line with what I would expect from the plasma, which usually exhibits superior black-level performance. In fact, the black level measurement LN55C650 is similar to that of the Panasonic TC-P50G25 plasma. High contrast ratio and deep blacks are only part of the picture, however, colors were bright and spot-on accurate, and grayscale performance was top-notch.
The LN55C650 treated each HQV high-definition and standard definition video quality tests without noise reduction and anti-fading options enabled. During testing, I enjoyed the very graphic Repo Men on Blu-ray; picture was incredibly sharp detail and deep blacks gave the colors perfect degree of pop. Results were similar using our satellite TV signal, both HD and SD programming looked excellent, with accurate flesh tones and no noticeable artifacts. The picture remained clear when viewed from the side, and while a very slight loss of color saturation when I moved out to an extreme angle, the effect was minimal.

If you’re in the market for a large HDTV, when it comes to performance and features, the Samsung LN55C650 is hard to beat. It is not slim and sexy as LED-backlit Today’s models, and it is still not ready for 3D, but it delivers a stellar picture with high contrast and deep blacks, a robust audio system, and a rich feature set, all that deserves our Editors’ Choice for the big-screen LCD HDTVs.

LG 55LH55 LCD HDTV Review
The LG 55LH55 offers an impressive array of features including the ability to image the typical consumer will feel like a pro set. The video quality is not the best but enough for most people. The one big drawback is the rather thick display, with more than 4 inches thick, this TV is very heavy and hard on the wall.

Next, we tested Vudu and Netflix streaming on LG Infinia 55LE8500 and the video quality has exceeded our expectations both by the Wi-Fi and Ethernet.
There are tons of Internet streaming capabilities, but that’s not all on the LG Infinia 55LE8500. Apart from Picasa, all of Yahoo Widgets. If we were to write this review, we have access to only ten widgets. We liked the platform here, the better answers faster and faster loading widgets. But there is still room for improvement in terms of speed, the main widget tray takes about 20 seconds to load and this can be quite frustrating if you lack patience.
